The Witch

 ANALYSIS:

 First of all, my analysis from the sample work given is somehow very interesting and it is very essential statement. Why? Because it is about stranger and ghost. Based on the story that I had read, considering that the person behind the scene is a young boy. In our daily life as a human being and as we put this in the real situation, when we faced darkness and as we go the place that very far, we are thinking about witch and different strange. Sometimes, we able to judge the person who are living that simple house and simple clothes. In fact, we don’t know the outcome of that person. 

 SUMMARY:

 The stories say a witch known as Minggay Awok which means witch in Visayan lives near the creek dividing the Libas and Sinit-an neighborhoods. The inhabitants were frightened by their unusual presence, lonely life, and occasional visits to the barrios. Whenever strange things happen, she has always been blamed. Minggay was therefore also exposed to various attempts at killing in order to stop the curse she supposedly placed on them. Our suspicions have never been confirmed, however. One day, a boy who visits his uncle in Libas from time to time met an old woman fishing in the creek. She was kind enough to take him to a place where he could get more shrimps. And the question of his experience with the contrasting picture of the witch in the stream with the old woman. SIDE 

QUESTIONS: 

 1.Do you think Minggay is really a witch? Why and Why not? Explain your answers.

 2.What is the relationship between the boy and Minggay?

 3.Explain the difference of a short story to other forms of literature like poetry, drama, essay, ect.

 ANSWER: 1.I think Minggay is not a witch, why? Because it is only the young boy who think about strange, ghost and witch. In fact they do not know the person behind and story behind that kind of place.

 2.The relationship between the two characters is a kind of a family and friends.


 3.The difference between the short story and the other forms of literature. The story of Witch, having similarity with our daily lives. Comparing the real situation about the ghost and strange. The story about the Witch is a true story. Sometimes the story is based on the experiences of the author and person who wrote the story. The poetry, drama and essay, sometimes it is based on the imagination of a person and of its talent. Literature is very essential to all of us, as a human being we are capable to present ourselves in every real situation.
