Not All Peoms Sing

Analysis

First of all, for my own analysis about the poem of “NOT ALL POEMS SING” is about expression and feelings of a person. Is not easy to make a poem without any experiences and knowledge about the things in this world. Sometimes it became a true story based on the author. 

This poem is a very interesting to all of us, it because our life is full of darkness and light. We are seeking light through our hopes and dreams, maybe our happiness, our goal and achievements in life. We faced darkness, because we are living this sinful world. We faced trials and problems but later on it became our hopes and to start to begin our life again. Our life is a like a Gold, it is precious and it is very essential in the eyes of God. Sometimes our life became a stone or a rock, it because of anger, bad sights and loosing hope. We are human being and we have to remember that our life is like a poem.

The poem has a free verse structure, written in a narrative form. And the figures of speech used were a mix of simile and metaphor.

I didn’t notice any character if I exclude the person the narrator referred to as “you”.

"Hopes begins in the dark,the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing,the dawn will come "

Side Questions:

How do the author look at love and life?

For me, we need to Love our Life by making an action. We need to accept of what we are. Life is precious, handle with prayer. Love is the only world that nobody can’t give a true meaning. Because it seen in the action by doing heartedly.  

What symbols can you find in the poem, identify and explain? 

I found the symbol of our life in this world. As a human being, we are great and privileged to do something for our satisfaction and our goal in life. We forgot to thank God for everyday in our life, because he is the only source of everything .

   The Snowman

Summary

The Story tell us about the importance of being a human. Emotions, negativity, personal growth are just like snowman. Snowman are playing in different place, between and through with canopies trees draped in white umbrella spreads. He was now working on his eyes, two round rocks and he found nearby and paused to contemplate his outcome. To observe the passing of America summer and the falling of the leaves were phenomenal experiences. Someone told to comeback middle of the spring to see the revival of life from the frosty season. Months earlier, he had been switching places and time zones.  He quickly glanced at his unfamiliar surroundings and pretended to know everything. He could join a marathon walk from his 30 minutes city exploration.  

When he had realized that his husband’s stomach bloating was no ordinary case. He remembered losing so much of time in manila. Searching for a physician who could answer the ailment that plagued his life. He came to know what Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) was well about. It gave a burning sensation on the tongue leaving an acidic aftertaste. Livelihood had to be maintained as we searched for a cure. He was becoming a sponge, ready to endure an extensive 14 hour lecture on nursing care. Physical and mental exhaustion would occur by Sunday afternoon. Then came the time when her husband’s body weight dropped tremendously. For at this time like any other newly married couple, the kind of words we would have been different. Perhaps it should focus towards household at adjustment. 

Lastly, being able to experience the downfall of a snow yet it is very memorable times of experiences. The yellow scarf wrapped around his neck swayed from the falling frost. For it would take a complete detour when billion snowflakes would declare winter’s end so all the trees draped in ice would give their colours once again. What was more important was being able to hold on throughout those long months of my winter year. 

    

Characters:

*The narrator, being tested over and over but remained standing.

*Husband( of the narrator) who was a sickly man, and for him, it was way better to die with the knowledge that there was no cure rather than knowing death would come to him hard.

*Their child, who was a typical kid before he was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder.

 

Setting:

America, Manila

Conflict:

The problems started emerging and crumbling her life when her husband and her kid started developing rare diseases.
